The team from Towers Business Park in Didsbury pulled on their trainers and completed the Great Manchester Run to raise money for Francis House Children’s Hospice.

The Towers 10k Run Club has raised over £2,100 with the total increasing daily as donations race in to support the team and Francis House.

It is an important charity for all the runners, especially for Martin Burnett, Director at Finlay James Associates, based within Towers, as his niece is a regular visitor to the hospice.

In preparation for the run, the team set up a running club to train for the event and staff have been participating in training, dietary and exercise programmes to prepare.

The club has been so popular that there are plans to continue the sessions on a regular basis, led by personal trainer Simon Matejczuk.

Matthew Milroy, at Kennedy Wilson Europe (KWE), said: “This year’s Great Manchester Run gave us the perfect opportunity to support the incredible and vital work that Francis House does for children and young adults with life-limiting illnesses.

“Our health and wellbeing programme for tenants brings the community of Towers together and the response has been fantastic. We are delighted that the runners will be continuing with the fitness programme which DS.Emotion have helped us implement.’

“We are currently planning our next series of activities at Towers and look forward to announcing them soon.’’
