New health spa opens at Grand Central in Stockport

The new health spa has opened at Life Leisure’s Grand Central in Stockport town centre.

Open to both existing and new members, the health spa features a sauna, steam room, hydrotherapy pool, aromatherapy room and relaxation area.

The exciting addition follows recent upgrades to the centre’s existing fitness changing facilities and complements Grand Central’s famous swimming facilities including the town’s only 50m swimming pool, which is home to Stockport Metro swimming club and where generations of Stockport residents first learned to swim.

“The health spa is a first for a fitness operator locally, rivaling facilities previously only seen in exclusive clubs,” said Laura Mylotte, Life Leisure’s marketing manager.

“In January the centre also introduced two hours of free parking for customers.

“With new slides and a children’s fun pool also set to open later this summer, Grand Central is living up to its name in terms of the level of facilities on offer.”
