Stockport County honour players of the season at awards night

Jason Oswell was named Stockport County’s Player of the Season at the club’s annual award’s dinner on Saturday night.

Oswell scored 29 goals this season and won a place in the National League North team of the season.

He was named player of the season at Edgeley Park ahead of strike partner Matty Warburton.

Warburton won the Goal of the Season award for his free-kick against Curzon Ashton with Dan Cowan’s 25-yarder against Darlington voted the runner-up.

Defender Scott Duxbury was named Young Player of the Year with Jimmy Ball coming second.

George West received the Community Foundation Recognition Award for 2018, and was presented with his trophy by community manager Dave Wardle.
